Kebahagiaan. Kata itu sungguh mudah diucapkan. Semua orang tahu apa artinya, dan selalu mendambanya. Kebahagiaan itu memabukkan. Sekali mencicipinya, kita akan berusaha mati-matian untuk mencarinya. Inilah awal penderitaan, karena orang yang dimabuk kebahagiaan akan terus terobsesi, terus mencari, terus kehausan, diliputi keserakahan untuk terus menenggak dan menimbun tanpa henti. Kekayaan, pangkat, seks, cinta, nama besar, pujian, cita-cita, kesuksesan, negeri-negeri untuk dikunjungi. Obsesi dan keserakahan ini membalik bahagia jadi derita. Mencari kebahagiaan itu bagaikan ikan muda yang mencari laut. Dia telah berenang dari samudra ke samudra, pantai, pesisir, selat, sampai laguna - tapi di mana laut? Dia terus mencari, tak juga ketemu. Ikan yang bijaksana menegurnya, memberitahunya bahwa dia sudah berada di laut. Si ikan muda protes: Ini bukan laut! Ini cuma air! Dia lalu meneruskan perjalanan pencariannya, mencari dan terus mencari.

Kita yang hidup di alam modern sering kali berbangga dengan pencapaian, dengan gedung-gedung tinggi, rumah mewah, kekayaan, nilai-nilai sempurna, kekuasaan, nama besar. Kita anggap orang-orang yang melepaskan semuanya untuk menggelandang sebagai gila atau kurang waras. Mungkin, justru kitalah yang gila. Kita percaya bahwa semua yang kita cari itu akan membawa kebahagiaan. Kita terobsesi, kita menderita, dibelenggu keserakahan yang tak habis-habis, tapi tidak ketemu juga kebahagiaan sejati itu. Barang yang sama, yang hari ini membawa bahagia, mungkin besok malah membawa nestapa. Dan bukankah hampir semua derita di dunia berawal dari nafsu serakah? Semakin kita terikat pada harta, semakin pula kita merasa terlalu miskin bahkan untuk membeli kemerdekaan kita sendiri. Semakin kita terjerat, terpenjara. Orang kaya itu bukan yang memiliki banyak harta. Orang kaya itu adalah mereka yang berpuas, terbebas dari belenggu kehausan duniawi.

Live with the 3 E’s - Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy
Play more games.
Read more books than you did in 2011.
Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
Sleep for 7 hours.
Take a 10-30 minutes walk daily. And while you walk, smile.
Personality:
Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
Don’t have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
Don’t over do. Keep your limits.
Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip.
Dream more while you are awake.
Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.
However good or bad a situation is, it will change. 
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
